Mike Bolton is another of my oldest friends from my university years in Palmerston North, and it was he who introduced me to the joys of playing make-believe via AD&D. He ran an exceptionally extensive campaign, and we played the game incessantly for two years until I moved away from the hell-hole of misery and despair that is Palmerston North.
No wonder I never got any of my university work done.
