Comments: These were painted a long, long time ago, in the mid-80s or thereabouts. Essex were my favourite figures in spite of their somewhat cartoonish appearance because they were hefty, chunky figures and easy to paint; I still like their 15mm figures a lot. They, and one or two other manufacturers, started the "scale creep" that has resulted in 25mm wargaming turning into 30mm wargaming.
