Comments: Back in the day in Palmerston North, when I should have been working hard at university, what I was really doing was playing AD&D (and getting pissed a lot, of course). The ogre mage was a recurring monster which never failed to give us grief.
The description in the Monster Manual said that they came in skin colours of blue or green. Whenever I'd seen them illustrated, or seen models of them, they were always blue, so I painted this guy green just to be different. The reds in his laquered body armour and loincloth are there to contrast with the viridian of his skin.
