Fnord Motors Air Raft
Owner:
Background
This is a very basic all-purpose flatbed cargo carrier, produced by the venerable Fnord Motor Company of Terra and used extensively throughout the empire. It is capable of carrying a three tonne load, and though neither fast nor maneuverable, it is eminently reliable. It includes a simple on-board navigation system which ties in with the local planetary GPS system, and an automated collision avoidance system adequate for day-to-day use.
The normal configuration has a driver's compartment incorporating a simple upholstered bench seat, capable of seating one or two adults of human size besides the driver, and a flat rear cargo bay with low drop-down sides for ease of loading. It is only capable of a top speed of just over 115 km/h, so is not ideally suited to long distance use.
