Background

Reef has found it difficult to fit into "normal" society due to his scars. He has taken to the roads to pursue the life of an adventurer. As twins the brothers share an almost empathic bond and Reef sees Chase as his "other self".

Appearance

Reef takes great care to cover his burn scars, and always wears a black leather mask with silver filigree depicting a Jester's face, black leather armour. His weapons are the only indication of which twin he is. He has two scimitars scabbarded in an "X" formation on his back (beneath the backpack).

Personality & Motivation

Reef and Chase travel to avoid settling anywhere that Reef's "condition" will become known. This way they don't become a target of fear, pity or ridicule.
 
 Reef never removes his stylised leather mask in the company of anybody but his brother. As two sides of the same coin often only their weapons signify which brother is which and they sometimes use this to their advantage to hide Reef's disfigurement.

Notes: Reef was possessed for a while by an angry elvish spirit who confined him to a tiny part of the back of his own skull. As a result, he has developed a powerful aversion to being confined or restricted in any way; even wearing his accustomed mask has become an uncomfortable experience, and any kind of full-face helm would be out of the question.
