The world map above displays the basic climatic bands and their average midday temperatures (in degrees Celsius), overlaid on a generalized depiction of land masses. There is considerable variation within these bands of course; localized geographical conditions can raise or lower the average temperature quite considerably. As mentioned on the introductory geographical page, there is no seasonal variation as such. Weather patterns remain fairly stable unless disrupted by forces such as those encountered during a celestial conjunction, or through magical interference.
