The images that follow are the pages for a short book which I did for an illustration assignment in 2005. The brief was to develop a character and complete story, using only a list of nonsense (or sound-effect) words for all dialogue.

The story is that of Noznork, a happy and friendly but terrifying monster, who finds a city and sets about trying to make new friends among its inhabitants. They are frightened and angry, rather than friendly, and drive the unfortunate Noznork back out into the wilderness. There he wanders again, eventually coming upon another city...
